We’re looking for a Marketing Project Manager to support our Marketing and Creative teams. Our Marketing Project Manager will play a significant role in building our project management and operational capabilities and will be leaned on as a subject matter expert.

Position:

Our Marketing team is the voice of our University partner online programs. This is a team of creatives, storytellers and problem-solvers who are champions of the University and their students.

Our Marketing Project Manager works within the Marketing team and functions as the key point-person for managing project timelines and ensuring projects are executed at the highest quality level, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager will manage projects from initiation to completion and will demonstrate a high level of efficiency and effectiveness in driving results.

Responsibilities:

  • Is adept in simultaneously managing multiple short and long-term marketing projects from inception to completion – from scheduling to capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Leads meetings, check-ins and stand-ups, distributing key information in advance, keeping the team aligned and on track to achieving goals and outlining next steps
  • Partners with client-facing Brand Managers to assess partner needs and deliverables and ensure project expectations are met; obtains and compiles all necessary production specifications and requirements at the onset of the project necessary to develop and deploy all deliverables
  • Works closely with Brand Managers to report and communicate status of all relevant marketing projects to key stakeholders
  • Utilizes and optimizes project management systems and processes to enable tracking of progress of all marketing projects against due dates; identify weaknesses in current systems and develop the means to improve them.
  • Proactively develops project timelines, contingency plans, and manages timeline based on scope changes, business priorities and resource allocation parameters
  • Proactively communicates status, milestones and obstacles to all key stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Works closely with Brand Managers to report and communicate status of all relevant marketing projects to key stakeholders
  • Identifies potential risks by identifying work breakdowns and scope changes and proactively works to mitigate these risks
  • Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; monitoring, and assessing job results; providing feedback to marketing team members; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures; ensuring appropriate staff are being engaged throughout the various stages of the project
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing standards; assists with training team members; evaluating outcomes
  • Maintains work process flows by coordinating information and requirements with related operational departments; participating with and providing resources to cross-functional teams
  • Keeps management informed by preparing reports and dashboards; making presentations; interpreting information and making recommendations to management.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree

· 5-7 years of comparable experience in project management, resource management, marketing operations, or other relevant work experience.

· Deadline-driven, with the ability to self-manage multiple projects and deadlines

· Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail

· Experience developing and documenting new processes

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Ability to use creative thinking to identify and solve problems

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively between different disciplines (development, creative, marketing, admissions, etc.) and personality types

· Comfortable using project management software such as Smartsheet, JIRA or other project management tools
