Our Financial Analyst position offers a great variety of finance work in a growing company that is transitioning from startup to established company. In this role, you would work with very smart people in a small-ish but high-functioning department that offers growth and challenge as the company grows. The Financial Analyst will have extensive exposure to all aspects of the business, and will perform analysis which supports key tactical and strategic decisions for the company.

As Financial Analyst, you will work closely with our VP of Finance and provide a wide variety of analysis, forecasts, models, and reporting for the company as a whole as well as our 4 different business units. You'll work with department heads to collect and disseminate primarily financial reports but some with non-financial elements.

Our ideal candidate has experience with financial analysis, budgeting and financial modeling. This position will report directly to the VP of Finance, and represents an opportunity for a talented individual to join a small, agile, and professional team.

This position is located in the Chicago Loop near Ogilvie and Union Stations.


  • Prepare revenue and student forecasts and budgets
  • Prepare cohort profitability analysis for inclusion in quarterly board reports
  • Manage and maintain financial models for new business opportunities
  • Extensive involvement in annual budget process, and quarterly financial forecasts
  • Prepare and analyze monthly client P&Ls
  • Prepare and analyze monthly functional financial reports
  • Prepare daily cash forecast
  • Client level reporting to support Client Engagement function
  • Overall responsibility for maintaining and reporting non-financial KPIs in financial reports
  • Contribute to design and integration of non-financial data and metrics in new financial system
  • The analyst is likely to be extensively involved in ad hoc requests for analysis and insight

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field is preferred
  • 1-3 years financial analysis or budgeting experience preferred
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Financial modeling experience preferred
